Project Background
The original mode in the park to do research and development materials, documents, office supplies and other distribution, the park material storage area set up a central warehouse, regional distribution warehouse, each building; distribution tools are micro-card, small trailer, each distribution requires 1~ 2 people + tools; the entire transportation process on the number of personnel, robot type, space, the whole logistics process management are challenged.
Solution
By investing in autonomous delivery robots to replace regional distribution warehouses and storage areas of various buildings; developing a "ride-hailing model" according to the needs of the scene, the autonomous delivery robot will directly deliver goods from the central warehouse to the designated point, and then notify the user to pick up the goods through SMS/voice phone.
Project Highlights
- Seamless switching between indoor and outdoor scenes:Using Go Further.AI "high-build low-use" navigation technology, it supports mapping and positioning without complete reliance on GNSS, and can shuttle to different scenes such as the ground and underground parking lot in the park.
- On-call distribution system, full logistics distribution process visualization:Based on the uncertainty of some distribution needs, the "ride-hailing mode" Mini Program is hereby customized to develop, and users in the park can call for delivery at any time; at the same time, the distribution system supports functions such as data statistics and data report export, which is convenient for later data mining and other work.
- Save personnel and site space to achieve cost reduction and efficiency:The whole process of autonomous distribution robot delivery reduces the intermediate distribution process and space occupation, effectively improving management efficiency; at the same time, it reduces the need for R&D personnel to spend a lot of time in the reciprocating logistics collection process during the R&D process.
Benefit Analysis
Now the park has been equipped with multiple Jedi autonomous distribution robots to be responsible for the distribution of this park in a research base in Dongguan, optimizing the original "traditional human + small trailer/tricycle/van" model, reducing intermediate links, and providing 7X24h services; since two years of operation, the park has gradually increased the number of ride-hailing users and the demand for distribution has increased significantly, with a peak period of up to 45 trips/day and 857 trips/month; autonomous robots standardize the operation process, improve the range of supporting services in the park, and achieve contactless distribution throughout the process, saving transportation time and improving employee transportation and work efficiency, which has been unanimously recognized by Huawei.
